This hybrid cauliflower has demonstrated uniform maturity and has consistently produced high quality cauliflowers of a good weight. The approximate head size is from 12.7-17.8 cm, it maintains a white color which results in a high demand by freezers. Its self-wrapping leaves are vigorous and erected which protect its dense, solid head, helping reduce its production costs. Shasta is less susceptible to a hollow stem and to the greening of its interior, it is especially adequate for the processing industry in Guatemala and México. It has good adaptation to various temperatures.
